CIPD L&D Show 2017: AVADO's best show yet

CIPD-2017-show.jpgThe 10th and 11th of May saw the annual CIPD Learning & Development Show come to Olympia in London, and this show delivered on its promise to be the biggest yet. With 180 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, the L&D community came together to network and share expertise in learning and talent management, leadership and coaching, training and new technology.

As partners of the CIPD, we were delighted to have a stand at the event where we were able to talk to members of the L&D community about our wide range of qualifications, as well as the Future of HR and Learning Hub and expertise in digital training.

CIPD's Head of Learning and Development Content Andy Lancaster gave a packed talk on "how to create your own digital assets for agile learning" at the Digital Learning Arena next to our stand. In fact the audience was so big they were spilling out into the aisles!

After the talk we were handing out some handy cheat-sheets for those that attended. Don't worry if you missed it though, you can download the PDF here.

Andy's trademark snazzy shoes must have been worn out by the end of the show. As well as his agile learning talk he also took part in a discussion on unlocking potential with Laura Overton, CEO and Founder of Towards Maturity, plus he was giving demonstrations of our Future of HR and Learning hub and a whole host of other things to boot. Hopefully he's had a chance to stop and breathe since then...!

We also had a few talks and demos over on the AVADO stand. As well as walkthroughs of our Virtual Learning Campus and Dot Native we had the pleasure of hosting Ben Rowland of Arch Apprentices to discuss how companies can make use of the new Apprenticeship Levy. The Levy was definitely one of the hot topics at the show this year, so having an expert on board to help explain the details was definitely a big help.

Here at AVADO, we hear a lot from both companies and individuals that e-learning and corporate training just don’t work. Time is scant, engagement falls and many fail to complete their professional qualification - even if they were really motivated at the beginning.

We address these concerns with a comprehensive suite of qualifications that are proven to work: our average completion rate is 75% in comparison with an industry average of 22%. With a blend of both online learning on our state-of-the-art virtual campuses and interactive face-to-face bootcamps, we are proud of providing learning that works. We stand out from other online learning providers with our exemplary course content, award-winning learning design, hand-picked experts who bring real-world experience to the qualifications and an emphasis on collaborative learning.

CIPD’s training division, CIPD Enterprises, selected AVADO to be their exclusive partner to deliver digital HR and L&D qualifications online. With an approach that results in 90% student engagement as well as 99% more confident students, we offer online CIPD certificates and qualifications. We also offer the Future of HR and Learning hub, which is a subscription-based hub of innovative content, community and collaboration.

Another concern we heard a lot at the show is the problem of digitally upskilling workforces and individuals. AVADO offers a wide range of proven solutions that can be built to scale rapidly. We offer rapid impact bootcamps, which can transform the capability of your leadership team in just two days, Squared Online, the global award-winning digital marketing leadership course developed with Google, and Dot Native, our bitesize learning platform.

If you didn’t get the chance to meet us, see our platform demos, or even just have a coffee with us at the show, we’d still love to chat about how AVADO could provide you with learning that works - give one of our Course Advisors a call on 020 7173 5664.
