As The Telegraph's Head of Video Features, and with a career history spanning both IT consultancy and journalism, Sumant Bhatia was already well-versed in digital business when he began the Executive Diploma in Digital Business.
But as he explains in this video interview, the Diploma has enabled him to both gain a broader understanding of digital business, and dig deeper into specific competencies.
"It gives me an understanding of what I need to know in my business."
Having previously studied for an MBA, Sumant values how the Diploma gives him an up to date understanding of digital business.
"I've been lucky in that I did an MBA a few years ago, but I see that almost as a foundation of just knowing the basics of business and having a basic knowledge. But thanks to digital and other trends business is changing so quickly at the moment and to keep up you need courses like the Diploma.
"The way it's taught, it means it can be very flexible: new trends can be put into the course very very quickly so you feel you're up to date. So I see my MBA as being my foundation of business knowledge, and the Diploma as being the layer which keeps me up to date with what's happening in the world of business, and in the world of technology, and essentially in the world of media and creativity. It gives me an understanding of what I need to know in my business."
